Bulleit Impressions is a participatory art project of artists working on the frontier. Using the embossing from the actual Bulleit bottle, artists in New York City, Chicago and Portland rubbed color on paper to reveal the Bulleit branding. Each artist then added their signature style to create one of a kind artwork.

“Chicago is a wild mix of food, hard work, and beauty. I tried to capture the many facets of the city I love with a touch of the ‘hand painted sign’ aesthetic you take in when you’re here.”
Artwork by:
“When I visualized bourbon, I remembered sipping it on a hike and my first encounter with a rattlesnake, her gentle body gliding across the trail. I then thought on the tall rye grasses that are transformed into its sweetness, the way they bend in the wind and tell a story of growth and hard work.”
Artwork by:
“This image depicts a technicolor succulent overtaken by weeds in a pot, and with a small bird charm on a beaded string dropped in amongst its branches. It’s a take on imagery from my roots in the American Southwest, filtered through years spent living in Brooklyn soaking in New York’s art and intensity.”
Artwork by:
“Here we meet our stunning New Yorker. She is the archetype of an electrifying woman. Ready to illuminate an exciting path for anyone that wants to follow her lead. She takes a sip of her Bulleit Bourbon as she finishes getting ready and dashes out the door for her taxi as she begins her evening’s adventures.”
Artwork by:
“My art piece is inspired by the cultural blends American traditions are made of. Chicago is a melting pot that welcomes and embraces you. I was inspired by the fauna and traditions that live together in a city like this.”
Artwork by:
“I wanted to interpret the Portland frontier as a swirling microcosm of life, from the lizard in the desert to the hiker in the woods to the tumultuous skies of the heavens.”
Along with our outdoor artwork, we created a series of films that feature people on the frontier using elements of their craft to create an impression of the Bulleit bottle design.
